The Tong’s heavy-duty 160° Bag & Box Tipper is one of the most popular box tippers within Tong’s potato and vegetable tipping range.
The advanced box and bag tipping mechanism on the Tong 160° Bag & Box Tipper is designed to put less strain on the tipper’s bearings and linkages, resulting in a reliably strong and robust mechanism, with minimal servicing and maintenance requirements, increased energy efficiency, and higher throughputs too.
Featuring advanced design and heavy duty construction, the 160 degree tipper allows boxes or big bags to be tipped through a wider arc of up to 160 degrees. This ensures crop is tipped gently and emptied fully, while also requiring less energy to operate.
Tong’s heavy duty 160 degree box tipper is built to tip boxes weighing up to 2 tons, with an average throughput of 25 tips per hour. Designed with the latest ram tipping mechanism and enhanced linkage strength, the 160 tipper is the 150° tipper’s beefed-up big brother!
160° BIG BAG & BOX TIPPER
For ultimate flexibility, the 160° Bag & Box Tipper can be specified as a Big Bag and Box model which is designed to tip both 1 ton big bags and boxes safely and effectively. Changing from boxes to bags is quick and simple, with easily removable inserts for boxes.
FORWARD CONVEYOR
The option of an in-line forward conveyor is a popular choice for a continuous and even feed of crop from the tipper, as well as offering holding capacity whilst the box or bag is changed.
The forward conveyor is fitted at the outfeed of the tipper and is available in two standard options – 1.8m long x 2m wide or 3m long x 2.2m wide. The crop conveyors are powered by inverter direct drive variable speed motors, and a crop sensor fitted to the top of the conveyor controls the tipping mechanism and the even flow of crop from the tipper to the conveyor. Should there be no crop or a gap in the flow of crop on any part of the belt, the crop sensor automatically accelerates the belt until crop reaches the end of the belt, then the speed returns to normal.
